Our philosophy
Why a women's circle?
For millennia, women's knowing has been suppressed, ridiculed and feared — our innate wisdom demonised, our power diminished, our connection to the sacred severed.
We all carry our own version of this wound. The parts of ourselves we feel are not quite allowed. The knowing we've learned to distrust. The ways our difference has been held against us.
This is not a circle of women against men. Many of us love men deeply. This is simply a space for reclaiming ourselves — calling ourselves back to wholeness.
What do we practice
Our work moves in two directions, weaving in and out.
The first is inward — coming to silence, disentangling from the stories we have been given and discovering what we are not. We are not our emotions, our fears, the boxes we were put in. Layer by layer, something more fundamental emerges: pure awareness, the ground of being before all the labels. We are not simply seeking to know this as a concept. The invitation is always into the direct experience — to open to what is actually here, beneath the thinking mind. In this space, things may pop up, and anything we have buried, suppressed or armoured against is gently met. Not forced open, not analysed — but tenderly allowed and welcomed back to wholeness. This is the practice of openness and allowance: meeting our lived truth exactly as it is, with curiosity rather than judgment.
The second direction is outward — bringing that awareness back into life. Into relationships, challenges, the grief and joy of being fully human. Not staying up the mountain but coming back into the town — remaining open even when it is difficult, practicing what it means to have boundaries, tending our inner fire and bringing it into service.
As we deepen, we begin living less from the thinking mind and more from heart and womb. We hear our own inner voice more clearly — not knowledge from books, but knowing that arises from direct experience, from silence, from dream, from the body itself. What has been forgotten begins to remember itself.
Our circle guidelines
We sit as equals — every voice welcome, every path honoured.
What is shared in circle stays in circle.
We speak from "I" — our own experience, not advice or instruction.
We listen deeply — without judgment, without the urge to fix or save.
The right to pass is always honoured. Silence is welcome.
One person speaks at a time.
We trust each woman's own wisdom.
All emotions are welcome here.
We are mindful of the space we take.
We trust the mystery — not everything needs resolution.
